Metagen Launches Gut Design Programme in ASEAN at Global Knowledge Hub Forum 2026

Singapore, February 2026 — Metagen, Inc., a global leader in microbiome science, will officially launch its Gut Design Programme (GDP) in ASEAN at the Global Knowledge Hub Forum (GKHF) 2026 , marking a significant milestone in the regional expansion of its Gut Design initiative.
The Gut Design Program aims to translate frontier microbiome science into real-world healthcare, nutrition, and preventive solutions by fostering collaboration across industry, research, and innovation ecosystems. Following its development in Japan, ASEAN has been identified as the first region for global expansion, reflecting the growing interest in gut health, functional foods, and personalized healthcare in Southeast Asia.
The ASEAN launch will be introduced through a dedicated panel session at GKHF titled “Redefining Healthcare: Innovation Through Gut Design” , where Metagen and its consortium partners will share perspectives on how gut microbiome insights are being applied to product development, healthcare programs, and cross-industry collaboration.
As part of the programme, Metagen is building a consortium of partners spanning food, nutrition, biotechnology, and research, with initiatives including stratified healthcare, product and service co-development, and exploratory programs such as Microbiome × TCM (KAMBIO). The GDP ASEAN platform is designed to support long-term ecosystem building and the co-creation of a Gut Design market in the region.
The launch at GKHF provides a regional platform for companies and stakeholders in ASEAN to learn about the Gut Design concept, engage with Metagen's approach, and explore opportunities to participate in the programme.
The Global Knowledge Hub Forum, organized by Leave a Nest Singapore, is an innovation and deep-tech collaboration platform that brings together corporates, startups, researchers, and public-sector stakeholders to accelerate science-driven partnerships in Asia.
