Mission to Mars: Hands-On Rover Building and Coding Workshop
[Cyberjaya, 17 December 2024] – Leave a Nest Malaysia is thrilled to announce the NEST Workshop: Mission to Mars: Build Your Rover workshop, an exciting and hands-on learning experience for students that will take place on 23 December 2024 (Monday). This workshop is designed to inspire future STEM leaders by immersing them in space exploration, mechanical engineering, and coding.
Workshop Highlights
Participants will embark on a journey to Mars through engaging activities that combine creativity, problem-solving, and STEM skills:
1. Understanding the Mars Mission
Students will delve into the fundamentals of space exploration, gaining insights into the challenges of sustaining life and conducting missions on Mars
2. Build and Bring Home Your Rover
Students will assemble simple yet functional rover models, learning how mechanical and electrical components work together to create a working system. At the end of the session, participants will proudly bring home their rovers.
3. Create a Text-Based Survival Game in Python
The workshop will introduce students to coding concepts using Python, where they will develop a survival game. Players will make water-conscious decisions to survive on Mars, allowing participants to apply logic, use variables, and explore coding fundamentals.
