Kobashi Monozukuri Seminar Connects Singapore Innovators with Japan's Manufacturing Excellence | Singapore, 13 November 2025
Leave a Nest Singapore successfully hosted the Kobashi Monozukuri Seminar on 13 November 2025 at NUS Enterprise (iCube Building) , bringing together innovators, deep-tech founders, and hardware startups to explore Japan's Monozukuri craftsmanship philosophy and its relevance to Southeast Asia's manufacturing and deep-tech ecosystem.
The featured seminar a keynote by Mr. Shojiro Kobashi, President & CEO of Kobashi Holdings Co., Ltd., who shared how Japan's spirit of craftsmanship, precision and continuous improvement enables innovators to develop manufacturable, reliable and competitive products. Participants gained insights into design documentation processes that underpin efficient manufacturing, approaches to building meaningful partnerships with Japanese engineering teams, and Kobashi's evolution from a century-old agricultural machinery maker into a leading figure in advanced manufacturing innovation.
Immersion Visit to Kobashi Holdings Headquarters (March 2026)
Following the seminar, Leave a Nest is organizing a five-day immersion trip to Kobashi Holdings Headquarters in Okayama, Japan , in March 2026. The program is designed to give Southeast Asian innovators a firsthand understanding of Japanese manufacturing culture, processes, and partnership opportunities.
Program Outline:
📅 March 23 (Mon) – Arrival in Tokyo 📅 March 24 (Tue) – Full-day visit to Kobashi Holdings , Okayama
📅 March 25 (Wed) – Return to Tokyo & visit to COG Tokyo
📅 March 26 (Thu) – Free day for meetings or additional visits
📅 March 27 (Fri) – Attend the Knowledge Manufacturing Conference , Tokyo
Subsidy Details:
- Return domestic flight between Tokyo ⇄ Okayama
- One night of accommodation in Okayama (24 March)
Participants will bear costs for international flights, Tokyo accommodation, meals, and personal expenses.
Participation Requirements
Companies interested in joining the immersion program are invited to submit the following by 05 December 2025, 19:00 SGT :
Participants who wish to join the immersion trip are asked to submit their company's general information deck , providing an overview of their technology, team and business activities. They should also outline their interest and future plans related to expansion into the Japanese market , describing how Japan fits into their strategic roadmap. In addition, applicants are requested to share their goal or motivation for visiting Kobashi Holdings , explaining what they hope to learn or achieve through the engagement.
