HIC Singapore 2026 Explores How AI Can Be Built for Meaningful Impact in Healthcare

Leave a Nest Singapore Pte. Ltd., together with the Office of Innovation at Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine (LKCMedicine), Nanyang Technological University, Singapore , will convene the Hyper Interdisciplinary Conference Singapore 2026 on 21 November 2026 at the LKCMedicine Novena Campus.

Centered on the theme “Built with AI. Built for Impact.” , this year’s conference will explore how artificial intelligence can move beyond technological advancement to deliver reliable, practical and meaningful outcomes for healthcare and human well-being. Artificial intelligence is transforming healthcare by creating new ways to understand complex biological systems, accelerate scientific discovery and deliver more continuous and personalized care. As Singapore advances its National AI Strategy 2.0, greater emphasis is being placed on translating AI into responsible, real-world solutions that connect research, clinical practice and industry.

HIC Singapore 2026 will bring together researchers, healthcare professionals, corporations, startups, government agencies, innovators and students to exchange perspectives and develop new collaborations across disciplinary and sectoral boundaries.

What to Expect at HIC Singapore 2026

The conference will feature three key panel discussions examining AI’s role across the healthcare innovation journey:

1. Teaching Machines to Read Living Systems

As biological systems generate increasingly complex data, AI is enabling researchers to identify patterns that were previously difficult or impossible to detect. This panel will examine how advanced cell analysis, biosensing, computational biology and precision diagnostics can accelerate biomedical discoveries and their translation into healthcare solutions.

2. Designing Healthcare Between Appointments

Healthcare does not begin and end within hospitals and clinics. This panel will explore how AI, digital health technologies, wearable devices and remote monitoring can support continuous, patient-centred care before, between and after clinical visits.

3. The Language of Health: Connecting AI, Life Sciences and Human Well-being

The future of healthcare requires closer collaboration across medicine, biology, engineering and data science. This panel will consider how AI can serve as a common language connecting these fields, enabling responsible innovation and more integrated approaches to advancing research, healthcare delivery and human well-being.

Turning Research Presentations into New Collaborations

A key feature of the conference will be the Hyper Interdisciplinary Splash , one of Leave a Nest’s signature programs. Selected researchers, innovators and startups will deliver concise 90-second presentations introducing their research, technologies and ideas to a diverse audience of academics, industry leaders, investors and policymakers.

Each presenter will also showcase their work through an A0 poster. The subsequent poster sessions will provide opportunities for deeper scientific discussions, industry connections and the development of new research and commercialization partnerships.By creating an environment where participants can encounter perspectives beyond their usual fields, HIC Singapore 2026 aims to turn promising ideas into meaningful interdisciplinary collaborations.

Connecting Medical Innovation with Real-World Needs

Working together with the Office of Innovation at LKCMedicine strengthens the conference’s connection to biomedical research, clinical needs and healthcare innovation.By bringing medical researchers and healthcare professionals into conversation with AI developers, engineers, startups and industry stakeholders, the conference will encourage the development of solutions that are scientifically grounded, responsive to genuine healthcare needs and capable of creating measurable impact.

Through the theme “Built with AI. Built for Impact.” , HIC Singapore 2026 invites participants to consider not only what AI can do, but how it can be responsibly designed, implemented and translated into better outcomes for people and society. Researchers, students, innovators and startups interested in presenting their research, technologies or business ideas may submit their applications by 23 October 2026 .
