HIC Vietnam 2026 Highlights Building sustainable future through cross-sector collaboration
Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam – 22 January 2026 — The Hyper Interdisciplinary Conference Vietnam 2026 (HIC VN 2026) proudly presents Panel Session 3 : “Building Sustainable Future Through Cross-Sector Collaboration” a dynamic discussion showcasing how collaboration among industry, academia, government, startups, and the investment community can drive meaningful and scalable solutions for a sustainable future.
Featuring perspectives from practitioners and venture capital representatives, the session will examine how ideas move from research and innovation to real-world implementation. Panelists will share insights on effective partnership models, the role of funding in enabling sustainable innovation, and how aligning expertise, resources, and capital can accelerate impact while managing risk
Bringing together experts from investment, industry, and academia, this panel will feature:
- Mr. Daiki Kumamoto, Director of UntroD Capital Asia, who will share insights from a venture capital (VC) perspective on how investors support startup growth by bridging research, industry needs, and market opportunities.
- Mr. Thien Truong, Commercial Director of Gara STEM, who will discuss Gara STEM’s initiatives in nurturing future technology talents and innovators, as well as the organization’s journey in scaling its impact within the education and innovation ecosystem.
- Dr. Duong Chi Trung, Head of the Department of Chemical Engineering at PetroVietnam University, who will offer an academic and researcher’s perspective on developing technologies and translating research outcomes into real-world applications through collaboration.
The session will aim to foster new connections, highlight enablers of successful cross-sector collaboration, and inspire participants to co-create solutions that contribute to long-term environmental, social, and economic resilience.
