HIC IDN 2026 | Panel discussion 3: Addressing the Diabetes Challenge Through Integrated Approaches

HIC IDN 2026 is pleased to present Panel Discussion 3 : Addressing the Diabetes Challenge Through Integrated Approaches. Moderated by Ir. Dr. Nor Ilia Anisa binti Aris of Leave a Nest Malaysia, the session brings together health technologists, clinical researchers and regional health leaders to examine integrated, data driven strategies for diabetes prevention, management and care.
Session overview
Addressing the diabetes challenge requires more than single technologies or one-off programs. This forum explores how digital tools, clinical research and public-sector planning can work together to improve early detection, support long-term behaviour change and deliver scalable care. It will also consider how dietary strategies and thoughtfully selected alternative foods can complement medical and digital interventions to help reduce diabetes risk and support healthier lifestyles. Topics include AI-assisted screening, remote monitoring, clinical-pharmacy approaches and models for university–industry–government collaboration that move promising interventions from pilots into routine care.
