Engaging Teachers and Educators Through Workshops at the Great Teachers Summit 2026

Cyberjaya, Malaysia – The upcoming Great Teachers Summit 2026 will take place on 16 April 2026 at UiTM Kota Samarahan, Sarawak, under the theme “Empowering Educators to Reignite STEM Curiosity for a Future-Ready Malaysia.” The summit aligns with the aspirations of the Malaysia Education Blueprint, focusing on enhancing teachers’ knowledge, skills, and professionalism.

The summit will feature a series of engaging sessions designed for teachers and educators, including interactive workshops and sharing sessions hosted by strategic partners.

The first workshop, conducted by Chumbaka, will begin at 10:00 AM and will run concurrently with a group discussion session. This workshop introduces participants to Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning using tools such as PictoBlox and Teachable Machine. Teachers will gain insights into how computers learn from data, recognize patterns, and make decisions. Through hands-on activities, participants will develop simple AI-powered projects and explore applications within STEM education. The session is designed to be accessible for both primary and secondary school teachers, including those in classrooms with limited access to computers.

At 11:30 AM, participants can join a sharing session by Tupai AI, which will provide insights into the latest developments and applications of AI in education.

The second workshop, scheduled at 2:00 PM, will be hosted by Pelangi Publishing Sdn. Bhd. in collaboration with Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS). This session will explore how the Junior Scientists book series can be effectively applied in classroom teaching and learning activities. The workshop will run concurrently with a sharing session by Universiti Tsukuba Malaysia, offering additional perspectives on educational innovation.

The Great Teachers Summit 2026 aims to create a dynamic platform for educators to exchange ideas, gain practical skills, and explore innovative approaches to STEM education, ultimately contributing to the development of a future-ready Malaysia.
