Bogor, Indonesia, 23 July 2026 – Leave a Nest Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. (LVNSMY) and Institut Pertanian Bogor University officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 23 July 2026, marking a significant milestone in strengthening collaboration for startup development and business incubation between Malaysia and Indonesia. The signing ceremony reflects the shared commitment of both institutions to foster innovation, entrepreneurship, and technology commercialization while strengthening the science and technology ecosystem across the region.

The Memorandum of Understanding was signed by Mr. Nur Ahmad Zaim Hussin, Director of Leave a Nest Malaysia Sdn. Bhd., and Dr. Handian Purwawangsa, S.Hut., M.Si., Head of the Institute for Agrimaritime Development and Innopreneurship Acceleration (LPA2I), IPB University. The collaboration establishes a strategic framework for both organizations to jointly support researchers, innovators, and technology-based startups through structured incubation programmes and ecosystem development.

Through this partnership, Leave a Nest Malaysia and IPB University will collaborate on a wide range of initiatives, including startup incubation and acceleration programmes, workshops, coaching and mentoring sessions, pitching forums, business matching activities, knowledge exchange, and the development of stronger connections with industry, investors, and international partners. The collaboration also aims to support IPB University researchers in commercializing research outcomes and accelerating the growth of science-based startups with regional and global potential.

The Memorandum of Understanding exchange between Leave a Nest Malaysia and IPB University marks the beginning of a strategic collaboration in startup development and business incubation.

The signing ceremony was held ahead of TECH PLANTER Indonesia 2026, further reinforcing the shared commitment of both organizations to accelerate science-based entrepreneurship and strengthen Indonesia's deep-tech innovation ecosystem.

Since establishing its presence in Southeast Asia, Leave a Nest Malaysia has actively collaborated with universities, government agencies, corporations, and ecosystem partners to bridge scientific research with commercialization opportunities. The partnership with IPB University further strengthens this commitment by creating new opportunities for researchers and entrepreneurs to access regional networks, industry collaborations, and international innovation programmes.

Speaking on the collaboration, Mr. Nur Ahmad Zaim Hussin, Director of Leave a Nest Malaysia, shared:
