FFFS 2026 | Future Food Panel 1: Scaling Future Food Systems

Why Scaling Future Food Systems? From Lab to Scale to Plate

Developing new food technologies is only the beginning. For future food innovations to contribute meaningfully to food resilience, they must also be manufacturable at scale, commercially viable, accepted by consumers and translated into products that people want to eat.

Against this backdrop, the Future Food & Fuel Summit (FFFS) 2026 will convene its first Future Food panel, “Scaling Future Food Systems,” bringing together complementary perspectives across cultivated food technology, biomanufacturing and scale-up, culinary application and consumer acceptance.

Panelists

Yuki Hanyu
Representative Director & CEO
IntegriCulture Inc.

Jason Ng
Founder & Manufacturing Vice President
Cell AgriTech

Dr Kwan Lui
Founder
At-Sunrice GlobalChef Academy

Moderator: Leave a Nest Singapore

Taking place on Friday, 2 October 2026, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, the panel will explore a central question: what does it take to move future food technologies from scientific innovation towards scalable systems and real-world adoption?

The discussion brings together three different parts of that journey. IntegriCulture brings the technology-development perspective in cultivated food; Cell AgriTech contributes experience in biomanufacturing, process scale-up and commercial production; while At-Sunrice GlobalChef Academy brings the culinary, education and consumer-facing perspective required to translate food innovation into real-world applications.

Rather than examining future food technologies in isolation, the conversation will look at the wider ecosystem required to scale them, from research and manufacturing infrastructure to talent, culinary application, commercialization and consumer acceptance.

As Singapore and Japan commemorate 60 years of diplomatic relations, the panel will also explore how both countries can combine their respective strengths in science, technology, manufacturing, food culture and commercialization to develop future food systems that are technologically feasible, commercially viable and accepted by the market.
