Great Teacher Summit (GTS) Program Inspires Educators Across the Countries on 19th Oct 2024
In conjunction with Science Castle in Asia, the Great Teacher Summit (GTS) will be held on October 19, 2024, at Multimedia University. GTS is a unique convergence point for teachers, educators, and parents seeking novel and efficient methods to elevate STEM education. This year, we are elevating the program by introducing the Aspiring Educators Symposium, which is designed for aspiring STEM educators, including undergraduates, postgraduates, researchers, and postdocs. As aligned with the Malaysia Education Blueprint 2013-2025 to cultivate world-class teacher’s capabilities through teaching and learning, the theme of GTS is “Enriching Teachers Through Exceptional Teaching and Learning”. Specifically, the objectives of this program are (i) To foster excellence in teaching methods including the promotion and use of technology and multidisciplinary strategies to make lessons more compelling and enriching, (ii) To facilitate peer-to-peer learning and networking by providing a platform for educators to connect, share their best practices and experiences, and learn from each other, (iii) To enhance professional development via the promotion of continuous self-enhancement and professional growth among teachers.
GTS anticipates participation from various countries, including teachers accompanying students to the Science Castle Asia 2024, with total participants expected to be around 200-300. The detailed schedule of the GTS includes a morning session at the auditorium, a sharing session by representatives from each country on building a resilient STEM ecosystem, concurrent workshops by partners, and a comprehensive roundtable discussion with experts and partners.
The Aspiring Educators Symposium features poster presentations, providing participants with a platform to present their research to teachers from different countries and to partners. All abstracts will be included in the proceedings. Participants will also have the opportunity to publish their papers in the ISJ-International STEM Journal (E-ISSN 2785-857X) and be eligible for poster presentation awards.
Join us at the Great Teacher Summit 2024 to be part of this transformative experience and contribute to shaping the future of STEM education. For more information about Great Teacher Summit 2024
