HICMY 2025: Introducing the Panelists for Panel Session 1 on Renewable Energy Innovation

The Hyper Interdisciplinary Conference Malaysia 2025, themed “Elevating Quality of Life: Innovations at the Nexus of Environment, Food and Health,” features Panel Session 1, “Reimagining Energy for Life through Renewable Innovations for a Greener Planet.”

The session examines how renewables can improve everyday living through cleaner mobility, energy efficiency, bio based solutions, and resilient communities, while charting practical pathways from lab to market through deployment and investment.

Yuta Akakuma of Naturenix advances energy access with long life batteries, ultra fast charging, and a battery as a service model piloted in Southeast Asia. Meanwhile, Captain James Anthony Tan leads TEASK, a Malaysia based clean energy company developing mobile modular solutions for light mobility and microgrids. Completing the panel, Yuji Ikeda represents UntroD Capital Asia, which invests in deep tech ventures tackling societal challenges. Abdul Hakim Sahidi of 144 Ventures will moderate a focused discussion on actionable solutions and collaboration opportunities for researchers, founders, and policymakers.

We invite partners, practitioners, and community leaders to join the conversation and explore concrete pathways to scale renewable innovation in Malaysia and beyond.
