The Hyper Interdisciplinary Conference Malaysia 2025 (HIC MY 2025) is excited to welcome Ts. Dr. Radin Zulhazmi, Deputy Undersecretary for Strategic Technology and S&T Applications at the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI), as our Special Lecture speaker this year.
With over 21 years of experience driving science and technology policy in Malaysia, Dr. Radin has played a key role in shaping national strategies across biotechnology, advanced materials, and nuclear technology. His work supports Malaysia’s mission to strengthen its future technology landscape and ensure that innovation truly benefits society.
Throughout his career, Dr. Radin has served in several major ministries including KeTTHA, KASA, NRECC, and PETRA, where he led initiatives spanning energy policy, water transformation, and innovation ecosystems at both national and ASEAN levels. One of his most notable achievements is leading the Water Sector Transformation (AIR2040) initiative, which laid the groundwork for Malaysia’s water and energy resilience.
Holding a PhD in Environment & Development (UKM), an MBA in Human Resource Management (UPM), and a Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical (UTP), Dr. Radin embodies the intersection of scientific insight, policy leadership, and human-centered innovation.
Dr. Radin’s extensive experience in steering national technology agendas closely aligns with the spirit of HIC MY 2025, themed “Elevating Quality of Life: Innovations at the Nexus of Environment, Food and Health.” His leadership in strategic technology and environmental transformation reflects the very essence of this year’s focus, which is connecting science, policy, and innovation to create tangible improvements in people’s daily lives. His perspective bridges the gap between technology development and societal well-being, making his insights particularly relevant to the discussions that define HIC MY 2025.
