Science Castle Asia 2026 Welcomes Ts. Dr. Norsuzlin Mohd Sahar as Keynote Speaker

Science Castle Asia 2026 is honoured to welcome Ts. Dr. Norsuzlin Mohd Sahar, Head of the Space Science Centre at the Institute of Climate Change, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), as this year's keynote speaker. A leading researcher in space science and satellite communication, Dr. Norsuzlin has dedicated her career to advancing cutting edge technologies while inspiring the next generation of scientists through education and community engagement. Her keynote will encourage young researchers to embrace curiosity, innovation, and the limitless possibilities of science.
Each year, Science Castle Asia brings distinguished scientists and innovators to share their personal journeys with students from across the region. Following last year's inspiring keynote by Dr. Joe Inoue, Co-Founder and Chief Culture Officer of Leave a Nest Group, this year's conference continues its tradition of showcasing individuals who demonstrate how scientific research can create meaningful impact in society. Through her work in both research and STEM education, Dr. Norsuzlin embodies the spirit of discovery, perseverance, and lifelong learning.
Ts. Dr. Norsuzlin Mohd Sahar is a Certified Professional Technologist (Ts.) registered with the Malaysia Board of Technologists (MBOT). She earned her Ph.D. in Electronic Communication and specialises in antenna design, RF devices, metamaterials, satellite communication systems, microwave sensors, and artificial intelligence applications in microwave imaging. Throughout her academic career, she has led more than 30 research grants, published over 70 scientific papers, and supervised numerous postgraduate researchers, contributing significantly to the advancement of space science and communication technologies in Malaysia.
Beyond her research achievements, Dr. Norsuzlin is deeply committed to making science accessible and exciting for young learners. She actively promotes STEM education through outreach programmes and experiential learning initiatives, developing innovative educational tools such as the UKM-SID interactive courseware and the COMM-µ Kit to provide students with hands-on learning experiences. Her outstanding contributions to education, innovation, and technology have been recognised internationally, including receiving the Best of the Best and Gold Medal awards at the I-PHEX 2025 International Innovation Exhibition.
Dr. Norsuzlin's journey demonstrates that scientific excellence is not only measured by research achievements but also by the ability to inspire others to explore, question, and innovate. Through her keynote, students will gain valuable insights into how passion, perseverance, and collaboration can transform ideas into discoveries that benefit society.
