Announcement of the Awardees for the FIRST Leave a Nest Grant Global Challenge Award in the Philippines
The Leave a Nest Group is happy to announce that we have selected five awardees for this year’s Leave a Nest Grant Global Challenge Award in the Philippines. These five awardees are dedicated to solving deep global issues with the use of local resources and knowledge.

Paul K. Yu | De La Salle University Manila | Systems biology approach of understanding azole resistance mechanisms in Candida albicans |
For this award, we received a diverse set of 16 applications from different fields, regions, and institutions in the Philippines. Screening of the applicants was done through evaluation of documents and interviews.
Supporting researchers to pursue their passion and curiosity, through the Leave a Nest Grant Global Challenge Award is in line with our core competence of Science Bridge Communication. Through this program we will be able to connect more S&T sectors in the Philippines working together to solve deep issues. Leave a Nest Philippines will continue this program and we would like to collaborate with more universities and government institutions.
