Announcement of Finalists and Lightning Talk Teams for TECH PLANTER in the Philippines 2024
Embracing the #StrongerAt8th motto, the TECH PLANTER in the Philippines 2024 finally announces this year’s Finalists and Lightning Talk Teams who will be pitching during the TECH PLAN Demo Day in the Philippines 2024 this coming May 11, 2024 (Saturday) at the Frassati Auditorium, Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati Building, University of Santo Tomas, España Boulevard, Sampaloc, Manila City (Venue Photos).
Committed to its core, Leave a Nest Philippines continues to highlight the rising sector of deep tech from the university and startup ecosystems through the conduct of the TECH PLANTER program. One with its mission of “Exploring Deep Tech & Solving Deep Issues”, the TECH PLANTER program is continued to be conducted in 6 ASEAN countries: Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, Indonesia, and Thailand, with an Asia Final Demo Day as the culminating pitch event featuring each of 6 country’s top seed winners. This platform program serves as the Leave a Nest Group’s entry point of deep tech research teams and startups to various supports, connecting to our Knowledge Platform, and even possible future research collaborations and investment opportunities. This year, there were a total of 43 eligible deep tech applications spanning from North Luzon teams all the way down to Mindanao.
TECH PLANTER in the Philippines 2024 Demo Day Finalists
Besting all other applicants, nine (9) Finalists and their corresponding pitchers were selected and these teams will be vying for the two top awards, the TECH PLANTER in the Philippines 2024 Grand Winner Award and the Leave a Nest Award, to advance their teams to the Asia Final stage in Malaysia. In addition, every year, there are several individual company awards that may also be up for grabs. We encourage you to watch out for upcoming announcements on this page and our social media channels regarding that.
Vying for the various awards and opportunity to collaborate with our Deep Tech ecosystem are the following teams:
TECH PLANTER in the Philippines 2024 Demo Day Lightning Talks
Joining the Finalist teams in their quest to find supporters are the invited Lightning Talk Teams and their pitchers. Lightning Talk Session is a special session of the TECH PLANTER program to showcase selected six (6) Filipino deep tech research and startups teams that have great Deep Tech ecosystem potential and for them to discuss better with the Leave a Nest Group local and foreign ecosystem partners in the industry, startups, government, and academia.
All the teams that will pitch during the Demo Day will undergo regular mentoring sessions with Leave a Nest members to improve their team communication and pitch presentations. Making this year truly #StrongerAt8th, the TECH PLANTER in the Philippines' TECH PLAN Demo Day in the Philippines 2024 is co-organized with University of Santo Tomas through their Technology Business Incubator, the TOMASInno Center, and will be housed in the auditorium facility of the newest building of the Philippines’ Pontifical and Royal university along España Boulevard.
