Inaugural Add Venture Forum in Singapore was a hit!
The inaugural Add Venture Forum took place on October 10th at Block 71, NUS Enterprise. It featured nine participating startups, including Leave a Nest Singapore, Midori Climate Partners, Esco Aster, Mindful Drinks, Cuprina, NovaPeak, Tonari, and UntroD. Additionally, 40 students from various institutions—polytechnics, NUS, NTU, SMU, and SUTD—across bachelor’s, master’s, and PhD programs joined the event.
The session began with an opening address introducing the theme of the Add Venture Forum, focused on students. The central message was: “Envision how you can bridge your skills and passions with the company's vision, creating a future of shared growth and success.” Following this, there was a pitch session where each participating startup gave an introduction of their company.
After which, the eagerly anticipated booth sessions commenced, with each startup occupying a table for in-depth discussions with students. Each booth session lasted 40 minutes and was facilitated by a representative from Leave a Nest Singapore. Prior to the forum, the Leave a Nest Singapore team carefully curated student placements at each booth based on their backgrounds and industry preferences.
Following the booth sessions, closing remarks reinforced the main message and encouraged students to pursue their careers in alignment with their interests, skills, and passions. This was followed by a networking session that facilitated open interaction among all participants.
After the event, a special Tonari demo was held at the Leave a Nest Singapore office, allowing students and startups to connect with the Tonari team through the Tonari portal.
Overall, the forum was a success, and in light of this, Leave a Nest is excited to announce that the Add Venture Forum will return in February and October next year.
