Focus Systems Beacon Project: Bringing Security Technology Innovations to Philippine Schools

Since 2022, Focus Systems has partnered with Leave a Nest Philippines to bring different opportunities to Filipino youth, researchers and startups. From science experiment workshops (see latest robotics workshop) to transdisciplinary conferences (see Hyper Interdisciplinary Conference 2024) and startup competitions (see TECH PLANTER in the Philippines 2025), the company has continued to support collaborations leveraging technology to create sustainable solutions for societal challenges, as they stand for their corporate slogan “TECH with HEART.”

With education being one of their priorities, Focus Systems has also conducted Teachers’ Seminars and school visits to understand the woes of our educators, especially with their overwhelming loads and struggles in ensuring the security of their students. The company introduced the Beacon Device, a transmitter that regularly sends out Bluetooth radio waves for easier attendance checks and improving student safety and security. 

As Focus Systems continue their journey in supporting teachers and schools in the Philippines, the company will be launching a new project wherein they will be sending free Beacon Device setups to 100 schools all over the country for them to try and experience. To share more about this project, the company will be conducting an Information Session this May 21, 2025 at 9:00AM to 10:30AM.
