Leave a Nest Malaysia to Launch the First Forest Innovation Summit 2026
Leave a Nest Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. is set to organise the inaugural Forest Innovation Summit (FIS) 2026 on 15 October 2026 at the Centre of Garage, Cyberjaya, under the theme “Integration of Technology for a Regenerative Future.”
Malaysia’s forests are home to extraordinary biodiversity and natural resources while playing an important role in climate regulation, ecosystem resilience and local economies. At the same time, advances in technology, data and scientific research are creating new possibilities for how forests can be understood, conserved, managed and sustainably utilised.
Forest Innovation Summit 2026 was established as a platform to connect these different perspectives, bringing together researchers, government agencies, industry professionals, startups, technology providers and communities to explore how science and technology can contribute to a regenerative future for forest ecosystems.
Rather than viewing forests solely through the lens of conservation, FIS 2026 aims to encourage conversations around how forest ecosystems can become a source of responsible innovation. Discussions will explore areas including forest and biodiversity conservation, artificial intelligence and smart monitoring, nature-based solutions, bio-innovation and natural products, carbon and sustainable forest-based businesses.

Building a New Forest Innovation Ecosystem
As the first Forest Innovation Summit organised by Leave a Nest Malaysia, FIS 2026 represents the beginning of an effort to build stronger connections between forest ecosystems and the innovation ecosystem.
By bringing different stakeholders into one space, Leave a Nest Malaysia hopes the summit can become a starting point for new research collaborations, technology applications and sustainable business opportunities that contribute to both environmental regeneration and economic development.
