Meet the Judges and Partners of TECH PLANTER Indonesia 2026

Now in its 9th year of implementation, TECH PLANTER Indonesia 2026 proudly welcomes this year's Partners and esteemed Panel of Judges for the upcoming TECH PLAN Demo Day, taking place on 25 July 2026 at the West Java Investment Hub (WJIH), Bandung, Indonesia.

Since its launch in Indonesia, TECH PLANTER has continued to connect researchers, startups, corporations, investors, universities, and government agencies through an open innovation platform dedicated to accelerating the commercialization of deep technologies that address real societal challenges. This year's panel brings together distinguished leaders and ecosystem builders from Indonesia, Japan, and across the region, providing invaluable expertise and perspectives to support the next generation of deep tech innovators.. Leading the panel as Head Judge is Mr. Nur Ahmad Zaim, Director of Leave a Nest Malaysia.

HEAD JUDGE
Mr. Nur Ahmad Zaim Hussin, Director, Leave a Nest Malaysia Sdn. Bhd.

Mr. Nur Ahmad Zaim Hussin received his Bachelor Degree in Electronic System Engineering at Malaysia-Japan International Institute of Technology (MJIIT UTM). Before joining Leave a Nest Malaysia, he worked as RF Optimization Engineer and responsible for 2G/3G/LTE KPI Performance analyzing, reporting with recommendation of KPI improvement. Based on his experience in the telecommunication sector, he saw the gap of technology implementation in rural areas especially in the agriculture sector. He would like to bridge this by implementing new technology in the agriculture sector and nurturing a younger generation to become involved in this sector. At Leave a Nest Malaysia, Zaim is in the Education Development Division.

Mr. Aditya Kusumapriandana , Co-founder Infia.co

Mr. Aditya Kusumapriandana Syafardi holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and an MBA from the School of Business and Management, Institut Teknologi Bandung (SBM ITB). He has extensive experience in business strategy, investment, and innovation development, having worked as an Associate Consultant at PT LAPI ITB and currently serving as the Co-Founder and President Commissioner of INFIA Group. As an Advisor to the West Java Investment Hub (WJIH), he actively supports investment promotion, SME development, and the growth of Indonesia's innovation ecosystem.

Mr. Nur Islami Javad, Founder & Executive Director, invst.ID

Mr. Nur Islami Javad (Jeff). The Founder of Invst ID (Angel Investor Network) has invested in over 50 starting ups/new venture businesses in Indonesia, also personally serves as commissioner/stakeholder in some of it. As an Ecosystem Enabler, He is active as the Executive Chair of Startup Bandung Community, Cofounder of Business Initiative Movement (BIM), MIT Regional Entrepreneurship Acceleration Program) Core Team and support many other startup/business communities. As the Chief of DEF Sharing Vision (a top IT consulting firm in Indonesia), he supports many digital enterprises.

Mr. Muhammad Adi Pradana, Climate Tech Venture Architect, Ecoxyztem (PT Greeneration Indonesia)

Mr. Muhammad Adi Pradana is a Climate Tech Venture Architect at Ecoxyztem (PT Greeneration Indonesia), where he supports early-stage and growth-stage startups in building scalable and investment-ready businesses. He specializes in venture strategy, fundraising readiness, financial modelling, GTM strategy, and operational system design, helping founders translate innovative technologies into commercially viable ventures. Throughout his career, he has supported climate-tech and circular economy startups such as Waste4Change, Ravelware, BIKI, ReservoAir, and Nawajeeva in strengthening their business strategy, governance, and commercialization readiness.

Mr. Afrizal Haris, Director of Small and Medium Industries for Food, Furniture and Building Materials, Ministry of Industry of the Republic of Indonesia

Mr. Afrizal Haris is the Director of Small and Medium Industries for Food, Furniture and Building Materials at the Ministry of Industry of the Republic of Indonesia. He leads government initiatives to strengthen the competitiveness and growth of small and medium industries through technology and production upgrading, quality and food safety standards, business partnerships, market access, and product innovation. Prior to his current role, he served as an internal auditor, with extensive experience in governance, risk management, and programme oversight. His work focuses on enabling SMEs to scale up, strengthen their industrial capabilities, and participate more effectively in domestic and global value chains.

 

GLOBAL JUDGES
Ms. Shiori Yamashita, Manager of D-LAB, Japan Tobacco Inc.

Shiori Yamashita is the Manager of D-LAB, Japan Tobacco. She is primarily responsible for new business development based on “Delightful Moment”. JT and D-LAB is not limited to a sector, but respects the “Delightful Moment” all over the world, and they think about what we can do for the moment every day. She is looking for people who can create the “Delightful Moment” with amazing technologies and knowledges together. She graduated from University of East Anglia (UK) with a bachelor in business management.

Mr. Henry Tao, Executive Director, UntroD Capital Asia Pte. Ltd.

In 2023, Henry joined UntroD Capital Asia, which manages the Real Tech Global Fund franchise. He was appointed as a director in 2025. In his current role, he leads direct investments connecting Southeast Asia, Japan, and global markets, while supporting portfolio growth. He’s particularly interested in tech innovations that create meaningful impact in climate and sustainability. Before joining UntroD, he worked on early- and growth-stage investments in the industrial and agri-tech sectors. He began his career at Bayer AG in a global leadership program, holding responsibilities in Germany, the US, and Singapore.He obtained MBA from Harvard Business School.

Mr. Norio Asahara, Regional R&D Director, Ezaki Glico Company, Limited

Mr. Asahara is the Director of Research and Development at Glico Asia Pacific, where he leads new business initiatives across the region. Representing a company whose portfolio spans confectionery, ice cream, beverages, dairy, processed foods, and infant milk formula, he is seeking research partners and exploring opportunities for technical collaboration, investment, and ingredient sourcing to drive innovation and expand Glico’s presence in the Asia Pacific market.

Ms. Nur Hartini binti Mardan, Manager Tech & Talent Transfer, Sarawak Digital Economy Corporation Berhad

Hartini is a Sarawak-born woman in technology and innovation who is actively shaping the state’s digital economy through her role as Manager, Tech & Talent Transfer at Sarawak Digital Economy Corporation (SDEC). Her work focuses on advancing technology adoption, research commercialisation, and digital talent development across academia, industry, and government, supporting Sarawak’s transition towards a knowledge-driven economy. She plays a pivotal role in designing and executing structured, outcome-oriented programmes that translate digital research and innovation into tangible economic value, while strengthening Sarawak’s positioning within the national and global digital ecosystem.

The TECH PLANTER Indonesia 2026 Panel of Judges will evaluate this year's finalist teams during the TECH PLAN Demo Day on 25 July 2026 (Saturday). The finalists represent some of Indonesia's most promising deep tech startups and research teams across sectors including biotechnology, agriculture, food technology, artificial intelligence, robotics, healthcare, sustainability, and advanced manufacturing.

Throughout the Demo Day, each finalist will present their technology, business vision, and commercialization strategy while receiving valuable feedback from industry leaders, investors, and corporate partners. Beyond the competition, the event aims to create meaningful collaborations that accelerate technology implementation and generate positive societal impact.
