A Meaningful Level of Rapport Achieved for Career Discovery Forum in the Philippines 2024

On March 16, 2024, Ateneo de Manila University hosted the eagerly anticipated Career Discovery Forum Philippines 2024 (CDF PH 2024). This event, unlike its predecessors, adopted a more focused approach, engaging 50 select students from top educational institutions across the nation, including the University of the Philippines Los Baños, Mapua University, and several others, in a day filled with insightful exchanges and learning opportunities.

The forum was organized in collaboration with a robust lineup of partners, with BossJob stepping in as the Co-Organizer and SolX Technologies Inc. leading as the Diamond Partner. The event was further supported by Cocoro Embody as Gold Partner, Legazpi Eye Center, Medical Test Systems, Assurance Controls Technologies Co., serving as Silver Partners, and entities like Monde Nissin Corporation, Zuellig Family Foundaton, and Ibiden Philippines enhancing the experience as Bronze Partners.

Before the formal proceedings commenced, an air of anticipation filled the venue as students interacted with company representatives, setting the tone for a day of immersive career exploration. Jondi Doplayna, the Project Lead, opened the event with a compelling speech that introduced Leave a Nest and its mission, emphasizing the importance of bridging the gap between academic preparation and industry expectations in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.

The forum featured a panel session led by Jewel Santos, delving into the challenges and opportunities in thecurrent business environment, with insights from industry leaders: Richard Milante of Legazpi Eye Center, Peter Cauton of Humanae Ventures, and Patricia Dacanay of Holcim PH. Following this, a keynote speech by Kurt Prieto highlighted his own journey of developing his own skills to drive innovation with SolX Technologies in addressing energy challenges in the Philippines.

The career pitches session provided a platform for startups and companies like SolX Technologies, Cocoro Embody, Medical Test Systems, Assurance Controls Technologies, and Ardent World to showcase their initiatives and interact with the future workforce.

Afternoon workshops offered hands-on experiences, with SolX Technologies discussing their energy solutions, Cocoro Embody addressing technologies for persons with disabilities, Ardent World immersing the students in their work culture, and Assurance Controls Technologies focusing on work environment expectations.

As the goal of the Career Discovery Forum is to be able to provide a better understanding between companies that are in need of human resources and those that are on the lookout for their career, CDF PH 2024, by facilitating intimate discussions, effectively bridged the gap between students and companies, embodying the innovative and cooperative spirit essential in the digital era.
