Leave a Nest Group has invested through Leave a Nest Capital Co., Ltd. in Robopreneur Sdn. Bhd. (Head office: Cyberjaya, Selangor, Malaysia; President and CEO: Dr. Hanafiah Yussof).
Robopreneur Sdn. Bhd. focuses on service robotics with the mission of “Empowering Innovation for a Better Humanity”. Leave a Nest Group decided to invest in the company because of their shared vision for developing robotics solutions that solve human problems, improve human environments, and ultimately partner with humans. Specifically, Robopreneur aims to address manpower shortages, enhance customer experiences, and create higher value for businesses worldwide.
The strong relationship between Leave a Nest and Robopreneur is demonstrated by numerous partnerships, starting with the real-tech seed acceleration program TECH PLAN DEMO DAY Malaysia 2022, where Dr. Hanafiah bin Yussof served as a judge. That same year, the company participated as an official partner in the Career Discovery Forum in Malaysia 2022, a platform where various stakeholders, including university graduates, students, researchers, startups, corporations, and government agencies, come together to discuss current and future career development opportunities. Dr. Hanafiah also contributed to a panel discussion titled “Impact of Malaysian Industry to ASEAN & the World” at the HYPER INTERDISCIPLINARY CONFERENCE in Tokyo 2023, where knowledge and technology are fused to identify new research themes and pressing issues humanity must address.
With funding from Leave a Nest Group, Robopreneur plans to expand its R&D capabilities to develop AI-based solutions for service robotics applications, focusing on strategic sectors such as service and hospitality, medical and rehabilitation, industrial cleaning, agriculture, and education. Robopreneur is now launching a crowdfunding campaign on the Malaysian ECF platform PitchIN to raise additional funds. Furthering its mission of providing robotics solutions and services to more people, the company intends to use the funds to expand into regional business by setting up branches in Japan, Singapore, and Australia.
