Hello students and graduates from science-based programs, job seekers, recruiters and researchers! Leave a Nest Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. would like to announce a new exciting program that is coming to Kuala Lumpur this October!
Background
Career Discovery Forum (CDF) is a unique event which started in Tokyo, Japan in 2016. It was introduced by Leave a Nest Group and started as a seminar where university students, researchers and companies exchanged thoughts and visions with the aim to create new science research topic and design future career together. Unlike other career fairs, CDF gave the opportunity for employers to identify potential talents outside normal recruitment channel.
About Career Discovery Forum in Malaysia
Leave a Nest Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. will be hosting its first CDF in Kuala Lumpur on 20 October 2018 with the following objectives:
- To provide a unique platform for university graduates from science background to explore and discover unknown but valuable match for their potential career path.
- To provide opportunity for employers (science-based corporations, R&D centres, and startups) to identify potential talents outside normal recruitment channel.
- Exchange thoughts on the future research and career with people from interdisciplinary field and accelerate human resource mobility and open innovation.
Emulating the original concept of CDF Japan, this event will have several key activities which include guided discussions to encourage direct interaction between companies and university graduates. These activities will be facilitated by Science Bridge Communicators from Leave a Nest and is meant to understand graduates’ career aspiration and value their fresh new perspectives in approaching issues within the industry.
